About The Position

This position within the Division of Integrated Healthcare (DIH) performs critical support functions to the Division. This position acts as a bridge between DIH leadership and a diverse network of community stakeholders including legislators, state and federal agency staff, community partners, and Medicaid members. This position requires the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects that demand careful coordination, clear, sensitive communication, and strict adherence to deadlines. The position requires a dynamic strategist who can also manage special projects that may arise from state or federal legislation. This position will report directly to the Division Director, who is also the State Medicaid Director. The position is currently a hybrid of two (2) in-office and three (3) remote work days. Eligibility for remote work is subject to agency management discretion and may change.

Requirements

  • Provides consultation, makes recommendations, gives appropriate advice, and/or facilitates decisions related to legislative action, federal laws, or rules.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for external legislative bodies and fiscal analysts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested reports, briefings, and budget-related documentation.
  • Leads the design and production of public-facing educational materials, including website blueprints, toolkits, and fact sheets, ensuring content is accessible and aligned with Division branding.
  • Presents final recommendations and issues directly to senior management, boards, commissions, local governments, or the legislature.
  • Tracks and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for special projects, preparing summaries and progress reports for Division leadership.
  • Ensures division-wide adherence to state and federal reporting standards by maintaining rigorous documentation and managing strict project deadlines.
  • Facilitates the use of data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history check.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Division Director as requested.
  • Organizes and coordinates detailed information exchanges, reports, and requests with strict deadlines, including legislative reports and requests, coordinating with internal and external agencies, and responding to GRAMA requests.
  • Researches and evaluates federal or state policy updates, coordinates and prepares summaries.
  • Coordinates meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes.
  • Performs project management support on special projects.
  • Designs public facing materials including instructional materials, letters, power points or other outreach related to division initiatives.
  • Manages communications and outreach, legislative reporting and compliance.
