About The Position
Thompson Health is hiring a per diem Special Procedures Technologist to support Interventional Radiology at its community hospital. The position works with Radiologists and uses advanced imaging technology to support minimally invasive procedures, while helping provide coordinated, patient-centered care. The schedule is flexible during day hours based on availability and requires one week of call per month. Pay is $41.80–$52.80 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved school of radiographic technology.
- Current, valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiography (R).
- Current BLS certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of Radiology Technologist experience, including one year of Interventional Radiology experience; exceptional new graduate Radiologic Technologists will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images with precision and autonomy.
- Assist Radiologists during interventional procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, drainages, and embolizations.
- Coordinate patient services to support seamless care and positive experiences for patients and referring providers.
- Follow radiation safety and patient confidentiality standards and comply with NYSDOH and JCAHO regulations.
