Special Order Parts Associate

About The Position

The Special Order Parts Associate coordinates special parts orders with manufacturers and follows up to help ensure parts arrive as quickly as possible. The role tracks customer units on the lot and the arrival of their parts, helps organize parts shelves, and participates in daily service meetings. The associate communicates with service managers, advisors, the special order parts team, and manufacturers; confirms parts are charged to work orders before they are placed in customer units; and checks that ordered parts are correct and undamaged, communicating with manufacturers and returning parts when applicable. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous retail or wholesale parts experience, preferably in the automotive or RV parts industry.
Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic.
Ability to communicate thoroughly and effectively.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Bridgespeak software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate special part orders with manufacturers and follow up to ensure parts are received as quickly as possible.
Analyze service logs to determine which customer units are physically on the lot and whose parts have been received.
Assist with organizing and managing the parts shelves.
Participate in daily service meetings.
Communicate with service managers, advisors, the special order parts team, and manufacturers.
Confirm parts are charged to the work order before they are placed in the customer unit.
Ensure parts orders are correct and undamaged; communicate with manufacturers and return parts when applicable.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
