About The Position
SOCOTEC is hiring an ICC Special Inspector based in Phoenix, Arizona, to provide detailed inspections of structures throughout Arizona, including Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott and Prescott Valley, and Yuma. The role is part of a team-focused work environment and involves field inspections, documentation, communication with project stakeholders, and training apprentice inspectors.
Requirements
- ICC certification for reinforced concrete.
- ACI Field Certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Safety-focused approach.
- Fluency in reading construction plans.
- Knowledge of building codes.
- Disciplined and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- ICC certifications in masonry, post-tension, or other areas.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- CWI certification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of various structures.
- Maintain records and write reports.
- Communicate with engineers, contractors, and managers.
- Train apprentice inspectors.
