ICC Certified Special Inspector
About The Position
ALLWEST is accepting applications for future employment opportunities in Hayden, Idaho. Hiring is expected to resume in Spring 2027. This position is not currently open; applicants may be contacted if opportunities become available. Experienced Special Inspectors with project management experience are encouraged to apply for early consideration. ALLWEST is a 100% employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and special inspections firm serving the Inland Northwest and beyond. The Special Inspector monitors materials, installation, fabrication, erection, and placement of construction components to evaluate compliance with plans and specifications. The role also prepares accurate electronic daily field reports summarizing services provided and calculates test results.
Requirements
- ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
- ACI Certified Field Testing Technician Grade I or higher certification.
- Nuclear Gauge Safety Training.
- Positive attitude and a customer-service approach.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to drive throughout the northern Idaho service region.
- Comfort using computers and mobile devices, such as a tablet, to record field data.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and maneuver up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Project management experience.
- ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete certification.
- ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certification.
- ICC Structural Welding certification.
- ICC Spray-applied and Intumescent Fireproofing certification.
