About The Position

Intertek-PSI is seeking a part-time ICC Special Inspector in Tukwila, Washington. The position performs testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision in the architectural, engineering, and construction industry. Intertek-PSI provides construction assurance, testing, and inspection services for civil and commercial construction projects. The inspector operates, maintains, and calibrates testing equipment; conducts soil and/or concrete testing; assesses and reports data; and uses drawings, specifications, and diagrams to carry out observations and assignments. The role requires detailed documentation and communication with clients and project teams, including attendance at project meetings. Work may involve outdoor conditions, varying heights, and off shifts or overtime.

Requirements

Three years of related inspection experience.
ICC certifications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally handle more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and distinguish sounds.
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
ICC/WABO certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Post Tensioned Concrete, Structural Masonry, and/or Structural Steel and Bolting.

Responsibilities
