About The Position

We are seeking a Special Hazards/Fire Alarm Superintendent in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves managing field technicians, equipment, and material procurement, and supporting the Operations team with scheduling inspections and small to mid-sized project installations. You will be responsible for conducting on-site safety audits, performing inspections, testing, and installing small to mid-sized projects. The role requires monitoring and reporting on project progress, problem-solving to maintain quality, safety, and profitability, and managing employees through attraction, hiring, performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, development, training, and termination.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Construction or service experience in the Special Hazards/Fire Alarm industry
  • Clean driving record to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to travel locally throughout the Twin Cities region
  • Ability to pass an appropriate drug screen and physical
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to lead and direct others
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Good working and learning attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment

Responsibilities

  • Managing field technicians, equipment, and material procurement.
  • Supporting the Operations team with scheduling of inspections and small to mid-sized project installations.
  • Scheduling and conducting on-site safety audits.
  • Performing inspections, testing, and installing small to mid-sized projects.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress and outcome of each inspection and project.
  • Problem-solving and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality, safety, and profitability.
  • Managing employees, including attracting, hiring, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Coaching, mentoring, developing, training, and terminating employees.
