About The Position

Manage the strategic planning, development, and execution of special events, including professional development training, webinars, conferences, workforce engagement activities, and student and faculty events. The individual will work collaboratively with JCPH leadership, program directors, faculty, and staff to identify emerging workforce and educational needs, develop innovative event concepts, and use data-driven insights to enhance event impact and engagement. This role exercises independent judgment in recommending event strategies, formats, and improvements that support the College's mission, educational goals, and market opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years in Event Planning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental scans and market research to identify workforce trends, emerging professional development needs, and opportunities for new educational programming and events.
  • Analyze event participation, attendee feedback, registration trends, engagement metrics, and other relevant data to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Develop recommendations for new event offerings, target audiences, delivery formats, partnerships, and promotional strategies.
  • Partner with program directors and College leadership to translate workforce and market intelligence into actionable event and program concepts.
  • Create reports and presentations summarizing event outcomes, return on investment, participant satisfaction, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by using qualitative and quantitative data to recommend modifications to event content, schedules, formats, and delivery methods.
  • Monitor competitive and peer institutions' event offerings and identify best practices that can strengthen JCPH's educational and professional engagement initiatives.
  • Manage assigned event portfolios and recommend strategic priorities aligned with College goals.
  • Serve as a resource to College leadership by providing insights on audience needs, stakeholder engagement, and emerging opportunities for community and professional outreach.
  • Develop annual event assessment plans and key performance indicators to guide future planning and resource allocation.
  • Keep records and documentation (registration, travel, budget, room reservations, catering, etc.) for each project.
  • Respond to requests for information/assistance from faculty/speakers, event attendees, and JCPH faculty, staff, and students.
