About The Position

SP+ is hiring Special Events Attendants to support sports and entertainment events. The role focuses on courteous customer service, parking transactions, and facilitating traffic flow at event locations. Attendants must arrive on time in a neat, complete uniform, learn the assigned event location and its requirements, and communicate safety hazards or unusual occurrences to management. The work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions. The listed pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Less than a high school education, or one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations with customers and employees.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, including using American currency.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear a complete uniform.
• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
• Occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Work outdoors in varying cold, rainy, snowy, hot, humid, and other weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer questions courteously and provide quality customer service.
• Receive customer payments for parking services and facilitate traffic flow through the gate.
• Arrive for each scheduled shift on time and maintain a neat, clean, complete uniform.
• Give directions and inform customers about locations in the city.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Report accidents, observed or suspected Company policy violations, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Report debris, water, oil spills, and similar conditions to the Facility or Senior Manager.
• Learn each Special Event location and its requirements.
• Count bank money at the beginning of the shift to verify the starting total.
• Collect cash and/or coupons and maintain cash security.
• Make change and issue receipts or tickets for transactions.
• Verify shift transactions against money on hand and complete the cashier shift report.
