About The Position

The Special Elections Board (SEB) Staff will partner with a team member from a different political party to provide services to voters, focusing on facilitating voting for those confined due to illness or disability. This cross-functional position will also support divisional operations within early voting, such as Signature Verification and Curing. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to learn new tasks quickly. The Maricopa County Elections Department serves over 2.6 million registered voters, and the team believes in teamwork, creating a vibrant work environment, and making a positive impact in the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
  • Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification
  • Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening

Responsibilities

  • The teams are paired into bipartisan boards to travel throughout Maricopa County
  • Responsible for providing services and assistance to voters who are ill, disabled, or confined to their personal residence or assisted living facility
  • Perform outreach to facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities
  • Assists other divisions of the Recorder’s Office with election duties as needed
