About The Position

Under general guidance and direction of the Elections Administrative Manager, the Elections Supervisor performs management duties related to elections, voting processes, and services. This role involves providing direction and supervising the work of Election Specialists and part-time employees. The supervisor is responsible for managing current election procedures and providing election information to government officials, candidates, and the public. The County Clerk's Office, where this position is located, conducts all elections in Utah County pertaining to county, state, or national offices, and also processes marriage licenses and passports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • Two (2) years of full-time employment performing administrative duties, of which one (1) year directly related to election processes, procedures, and management.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and eligible to register to vote.
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver’s license within sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Lead or supervisory experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Certification as a Certified Election Registration Administrator (CERA).
