About The Position

This is a grant-funded position for Special Education Teachers to implement a four-day summer program for middle school students from District Programs (DSC and Connections). The program will run from July 6 through July 30, 2026, with operational hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:50 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. Teachers will also participate in a professional development program on June 29 and 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The role involves supporting students in all aspects of their programming, including academic, social/emotional/behavioral, and activities of daily living, as well as assisting with program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a four-day program through summer (program operational hours: Monday - Thursday from 7:50 a.m. to 1:10 p.m., July 6 through July 30, 2026)
  • Participate in a professional development program on June 29 and 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Work with middle school students from District Programs (DSC and Connections)
  • Support all students, including all parts of their programming (academic, social/emotional/behavioral, activities of daily living)
  • Assist with program evaluation upon completion of the program
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the ESY directors
