About The Position

This is a grant-funded position for Special Education Middle School District Program Instructional Assistants for the 2026 program. The program operates four days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:50 a.m. to 1:10 p.m., from July 6 through July 30, 2026. Prior to the program, participants must attend professional development on June 29 and 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The role involves working with students from District Programs (DSC and Connections) and supporting all aspects of their programming, including academic, social/emotional/behavioral, and activities of daily living. Responsibilities also include data collection at the beginning and end of the summer program, assisting with program evaluation, and other duties as assigned by the ESY directors. The position is located at Marshall Simonds Middle School.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a four-day program through summer (program operational hours: Monday - Thursday from 7:50 a.m. to 1:10 p.m., July 6 through July 30, 2026)
