About The Position
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Teacher position at Bethlehem Elementary School, starting on August 24, 2026. The role involves providing direct instruction to special education students across grade levels, overseeing para-professional staff, communicating with parents, and collaborating with various school personnel. Responsibilities also include student evaluation, developing measurable goals, collecting progress monitoring data, attending PPTs, and assisting with functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities
- Providing direct instruction to special education students across grade levels
- Overseeing para professional staff relative to students on caseload
- Establishing and maintaining frequent communication with parents of students on caseload
- Collaborating with regular educators, related service staff, student service support staff and administrators
- Evaluating students as needed using standards based and curriculum based methods
- Developing and evaluating measurable goals and objectives
- Collecting progress monitoring data
- Coding progress of goals and objectives
- Attend PPTs
- Assist with conducting functional behavioral assessments and designing behavior intervention plans
