About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE non-continuing position for an Intermediate (grades 4-6) Intensive Support Special Education Teacher at Mountlake Terrace Elementary. It is a leave replacement position that will begin at the start of the 2026-27 school year through December 17, 2026 ONLY. Requirements

  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

  • Confidential reference forms must be completed by 11:00 p.m. on the closing date.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates that currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.
  • SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first two years of employment.
