About The Position
A long-term substitute special education teacher is sought to teach middle school students at McCourt Middle School. The candidate will work as part of a multi-member educational team and should have skills and experience in co-teaching, case management, behavior management, intervention techniques, Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, and IEP writing. The position is expected to begin approximately November 12, 2026, and continue through May 1, 2027.
Requirements
- Must be certified in Rhode Island as a Middle Special Educator or as an Elementary/Secondary educator with a Middle School Extension.
- Skills and experience in co-teaching, case management, behavior management, and intervention techniques.
- Skilled in Functional Behavioral Assessment, Behavior Intervention Plans, and IEP writing.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-member educational team.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
