About The Position

Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is hiring Special Education Teachers for Lakes Country Academy (LCA), including its new Moorhead, Minnesota site. LCA is a level IV setting that provides specialized services to students referred by their resident school district. Teachers join a collaborative, trauma-informed team focused on student and staff success. The program features smaller class sizes and caseloads, shorter instructional days with time for planning and collaboration, and an integrated model combining academics with functional life skills, employability training, and social-emotional learning. Teachers work alongside educators, paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, and other professionals. The position is expected to start December 1, 2026.

Requirements

Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or 4, in Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) preferred.
Candidates eligible for Tier 1 or 2 licenses or Out of Field Permission will also be considered.
Experience working with K–12 students with behavioral challenges is ideal.
Passion for collaborative, student-centered instruction.

Nice To Haves
