About The Position

Lakes Country Service Cooperative is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals for Lakes Country Academy in Moorhead, Minnesota. The program serves K–12 students referred by local school districts in a calm, structured, and highly individualized educational setting designed to address academic and behavioral needs. Paraprofessionals support students’ learning, social, and emotional development, help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support, and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment. On-the-job training, ongoing support, and professional development are provided. The role typically works 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6.75 hours per day, for 180 days per year aligned with the school calendar. The listed start date is December 1, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent, meet one of the following: have 60 or more college credits, have completed an associate degree, or earn a passing score on the ParaEducator or ParaPro exam. The exam may be completed within 30 days after hire.
