SETSS Special Education Teacher - Bronx
About The Position
Knowledge Road is seeking NYS-certified Special Education Teachers to work as SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Services) providers on a 1099 basis in the Bronx. The position involves providing IEP- and IESP-mandated services to students attending independent, parochial, and charter schools across the borough, as well as some homeschooled students. These are not placements within NYC DOE public schools. The role offers flexibility in terms of caseload and hours, with opportunities to work during the school day, after school, and on weekends. Knowledge Road recruits year-round and matches providers with available cases based on their certification, schedule, and desired work areas.
Requirements
- NYS certification in Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12 or All Grades)
- Availability to work in Bronx
- Cannot have been employed by the NYC Department of Education within the past year (unless special approval is obtained)
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual candidates may be a plus, as indicated by the application asking about languages spoken.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver one-to-one or small-group SETSS instruction aligned to each student's IEP or IESP goals
- Keep session notes and complete required documentation
- Complete progress reports as required
- Communicate with the school, the family, and the student's team
- Attend IESP meetings for the students you work with
