About The Position

Paramount Charter Academy, located in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a part-time Special Education Psychologist to join their team. This role involves administering and interpreting psychological assessments, conducting diagnostic evaluations, providing interventions and instructional support, counseling students and parents, and collaborating with the special education team. The position is 10 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must hold valid licensure for the state they are working in.
• Michigan: Michigan School Psychologist certificate or Preliminary School Psychologist certificate issued by the Michigan Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Administers and interprets a wide range of individualized standardized assessment instruments in all psychological domains.
• Guides other staff in the administration of achievement tests.
• Conducts effective psychological and psycho-educational diagnostic, prescriptive evaluations of children.
• Completes interventions and instructional support to assist in developing academic skills.
• Assists in writing and consults on implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals.
• Counsel students and parents, pointing them toward further resources when needed.
• Collaborates with the special education team to design and implement intervention strategies and programs.
