About The Position

Apex Academy is seeking a part-time Special Education Psychologist to administer and interpret psychological assessments, conduct diagnostic evaluations, provide interventions and instructional support, assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), counsel students and parents, and collaborate with the special education team. This position is 16 hours per week and located in Cleveland, OH.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must hold valid licensure for the state they are working in.
  • Ohio: Ohio State Board approved School Psychologist license and Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services license with the School Psychologist endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and interprets a wide range of individualized standardized assessment instruments in all psychological domains.
  • Guides other staff in the administration of achievement tests.
  • Conducts effective psychological and psycho-educational diagnostic, prescriptive evaluations of children.
  • Completes interventions and instructional support to assist in developing academic skills.
  • Assists in writing and consults on implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals.
  • Counseling students and parents while pointing them toward further resources when needed.
  • Collaborating with the special education team to design and implement intervention strategies and programs.
