  • Demonstrate at least 3 years of prior supervisory, project management, and/or client management experience
  • Demonstrate ONE of the following: At least 3 years of experience working in a K-12 special education setting OR Any similar combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Operationally manage Specialty Services programs, including managing performance data and metrics, overseeing daily operations, handling inquiries and issue resolution, tracking and reporting on program progress, identifying process inefficiencies, auditing systems for quality assurance, and updating leadership on work.
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with key internal and external partners to achieve program outcomes, including managing client and customer relationships and serving as a subject matter expert in establishing sustainable pathways for high-need roles in K-12 education.
  • Facilitate and organize instructor orientation sessions, training programs, and coaching activities related to Specialty Services programs.
  • Supervise and direct any program staff and instructors supporting your programs.
  • Communicate and meet regularly with your supervisor to update them on program progress and concerns, bringing solutions that address challenges.
  • In partnership with UI Recruitment, assign instructors working in Specialty Services programs to placements that meet client needs.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external partners so UI instructors efficiently complete each milestone in their specified pathway program.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to their agendas; lead meetings when appropriate.
  • Implement and refine selection models that evaluate applicants’ communication skills, professionalism, and overall readiness for program participation; review candidate materials to confirm candidates meet minimum program eligibility requirements.
  • Manage all elements of Specialty Services pathway supports, with an emphasis on special education supports.
  • Proctor qualifying exams as needed.
  • Make data-informed decisions that support Specialty Services’ programs and adapt strategies based on data to meet key performance indicators.
  • Maintain program budgets, projections, and other required compliance requirements.
  • Complete other duties as required and assigned.
