K-12 Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to empower students with diverse learning needs during the 2026–2027 school year in Buckeye and Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves providing specialized instruction and individualized support to students with diverse learning, cognitive, and behavioral needs in resource, inclusive, or self-contained classroom settings. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress, maintaining required documentation, and managing caseloads. Collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families is essential to support student success and ensure effective implementation of accommodations and interventions. The goal is to foster a structured, inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth, positive behavior, and student engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Arizona Special Education Certification (Elementary K–5 or Secondary 6–12)
- Active Arizona Content Area or Generalist Certification for the applicable grade level
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing special education instruction, case management, and student support preferred
