About The Position

Belle Creek Charter School (BCCS) is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year. BCCS is a tuition-free, Core Knowledge school in Henderson, Colorado, dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and fostering a love of learning. As a high-achieving public charter school, BCCS offers a structured, content-rich curriculum and utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach in K-3, aligned with the Science of Reading. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Willingness to learn and implement behavior support strategies and academic interventions
  • Ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
  • Ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances
  • A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support K-8 students with mid/moderate needs in academics, behavior, and social-emotional skills.
  • Work with teachers and specialists to implement IEP goals and classroom supports.
  • Provide small group or one-on-one assistance to keep students engaged and on track.
  • Help collect progress data and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assists students with organization, communication, and behavior strategies to build independence.
