About The Position

Grinders Above and Beyond is a family-owned restaurant that has served food since 1976. The Spec Cook & Baker prepares menu items and housemade foods, learns kitchen preparations and food safety practices, and maintains an assigned work area in a fast-paced environment. No experience is necessary; training is provided. The position is part-time and located in Canton, Ohio.

Requirements

• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Ability to measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Ability to learn kitchen preparations and food safety practices in a fun, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to perform tasks assigned by management and support other staff.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow standardized recipes.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Prepare housemade menu items such as soups, desserts, and dinners.
• After training, prepare menu items and develop working knowledge of the offerings.
• Learn kitchen preparations and food safety practices.
• Set up, close, stock, and clean the assigned area.
• Perform job descriptions and tasks assigned by management.
• Support other staff as a team player.
