About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Spanish Teacher for a beginner student in Paradise Valley, AZ (near Scottsdale). The role involves providing one-to-one general Spanish language training, focusing on supporting the student with summer homework. The course is for a student aged 17 and under, with a total of 20 hours of lessons, each lasting approximately 1.5-2 hours. Initially, lessons are scheduled Monday to Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. until August 17th, after which the schedule will be adjusted based on the student's school activities. The position starts ASAP and is expected to continue until August 17th, with potential adjustments thereafter.
Requirements
- Be a native Spanish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Paradise Valley, AZ.
- Submit a CV with references (if available).
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one general Spanish language training to a beginner student.
- Support the student with their summer Spanish homework.
- Conduct lessons at the student's home in Paradise Valley, AZ.
- Adhere to the specified schedule of 5 lessons per week, Monday to Friday, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. until August 17th.
- Adjust schedule after August 17th based on the student’s school activities.
- Ensure each lesson lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours.
