About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Korean language teacher for a client in Pleasanton, CA. This is a one-to-one general Korean course consisting of 20 one-hour sessions. The lessons will take place at the students' home, and the students are 8 and 11-year-old children who are Korean-American and wish to become conversational, learn to read and write, and gain a better understanding of Korean culture. The schedule is flexible, with potential times on Wednesdays after 3:30 pm, Mondays after 5 pm, or Tuesdays at 4:30 pm. The position starts as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Native Korean speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Pleasanton, CA 94566.
- Ability to submit a CV with references.
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Korean language instruction to two children (8 and 11 years old).
- Tailor lessons to help students become conversational, read, write, and understand Korean culture.
- Conduct lessons at the students' home in Pleasanton, CA.
- Adhere to a schedule of approximately 20 one-hour sessions, once a week.
- Be available for lessons on Wednesdays after 3:30 pm, Mondays after 5 pm, or Tuesdays at 4:30 pm.
