About The Position

The Spanish Teacher will guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation. This role involves instructing assigned classes, preparing lessons, creating an effective learning environment, and working to establish open communication with students and parents. The teacher will also plan curriculum, take precautions to protect students and facilities, and participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

Spanish certification preferred

Responsibilities

Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times.
Prepares for assigned classes, reflecting objectives to be achieved.
Creates an effective classroom environment conducive to learning.
Guides the learning process toward curriculum goals.
Establishes clear objectives and communicates them to students.
Discerns students' needs and refers them to appropriate school personnel when necessary.
Works to establish and maintain open communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.
Plans curriculum in cooperation with administration to meet individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
Assists administration in developing and implementing policies, rules, and regulations.
Attends and participates in faculty and professional activities.
Completes reports and other school-related paperwork within requested timeframes.
Accepts responsibility and arrives punctually for assigned activities and duties.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with co-workers.
Upgrades professional growth through professional training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, college classes, or other professional activities.
Maintains appropriate emotional control, physical health, and personal appearance.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent.
