Spanish Remote Interpreter
About The Position
We are seeking talented individuals proficient in Spanish and English to join our team of international interpreters. If you have a passion for languages and a commitment to providing excellent service, we want to hear from you! This is a fully remote position. As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Spanish and English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. Notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Based in US
- Minimum 1 year of interpretation experience
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client
- 90% English proficiency
- Steady wired internet connection
- USB wired headset
- Windows 10 or Mac
Responsibilities
- Answer calls professionally, acting according to the interpreter’s code of conduct
- Be familiar with industry-specific vocabulary (especially healthcare and medical terminology)
- Participate in internal professional training
- Communicate and report to your team leader
