About The Position
Language Trainers, an international language training company founded in 2004, is seeking a Spanish language teacher for a client in Briarcliff Manor, NY. This is a freelance, part-time, one-to-one general course with a total of 20 hours, consisting of 10 two-hour sessions. The training will take place at the student's home in Briarcliff Manor, NY 10150. The student is a 50-year-old lady at an Upper Intermediate level, motivated to learn Spanish for her job as an ENL teacher to communicate with parents. The ideal schedule is twice per week, on any weekday between 12:00 and 4:15 PM, ideally on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course is expected to start as soon as possible. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability, and the hourly rate is negotiable.
Requirements
- Native Spanish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Briarcliff Manor, NY 10150.
- Ability to submit a CV with references, availability, and earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities
- Provide customized Spanish language training to an adult student.
- Conduct one-to-one sessions.
- Travel to the student's home in Briarcliff Manor, NY 10150.
- Adapt teaching methods to the student's Upper Intermediate level and motivation for job-related communication.
- Adhere to a schedule of twice per week, ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 12:00 PM and 4:15 PM.
- Be available to start as soon as possible.
