ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking a Spacecraft Technician Harness Fabrication, Associate in Kennedy Space Center, FL. This role performs a range of duties in the mechanical, electromechanical, and Facilities GSE when constructing and assembling spacecraft and associated ground support equipment. The technician will read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, engineering documents, work authorization documents and other written or verbal instructions. They will construct, assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, repair and maintain equipment, components and subcomponents, devices, and systems in accordance with testing, engineering, and installation instructions. The role also involves operating related equipment, conducting tests and reporting data, performing alignment checks, adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed, preparing prescribed compounds and solutions, and using various measuring devices. Additionally, the technician will carry out corrosion control treatments, complete and maintain documentation, and make recommendations for improvement. A key responsibility is fabricating flight and non-flight wire harness assemblies, interpreting engineering drawings, performing various termination techniques, and conducting functional tests. The technician will troubleshoot and assist Engineering with solutions, operate processing and test equipment, collaborate with Engineering to resolve issues, and train/mentor less experienced technicians. Basic computer software proficiency and excellent communication skills are also required.
