About The Position

The Spa Supervisor is responsible for supervising all Spa personnel to ensure quality health and fitness services to members and guests. The role is also responsible in assisting all operational aspects of the spa. This position requires adherence to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life, and participation in all hotel required meetings and trainings. Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform/business attire and nametag, is essential. The role involves inspecting and monitoring the cleanliness of the spa, complying with safety and health code requirements, and ensuring the facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day. Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities, including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order, is a key responsibility. The Spa Supervisor must be the initial and complete source of information regarding spa offerings and procedures to ensure guest comfort. This includes arranging spa appointments, handling administrative functions of the Spa (using Spa software, maintaining inventory, answering telephones, making appointments, answering questions), and providing Spa tours. Overseeing the efficiency of Spa operations at the front desk through proper scheduling of appointments and staff, and communicating with front desk staff, is crucial. Reviewing and revising scheduling daily according to business demands, assisting with billing for all Spa services and retail sales, and preparing receipts are also part of the role. Proficiency in Spa software, assisting with inventories and cost controlling, and monitoring/evaluating Spa front desk team members are required. Providing CPR/First Aid as necessary and abiding by all hotel policies and safety rules are also essential functions. Other duties may be requested by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Standing and walking for extend periods of time may be required.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States, which will be confirmed through the federal E-Verify system.

  • Being the initial and complete source of information regarding what is available at the Spa and all procedures to ensure guest comfort (i.e., treatments, equipment, products and retail items).
  • Arranging for all spa appointments for ala carte services/activities and packages.
  • Handling all administrative functions of the Spa including: using Spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies, answering telephones, making appointments, and answering questions.
  • Providing Spa tours as necessary.
  • Overseeing efficiency of Spa operations at the front desk via proper scheduling of appointments and staff.
  • Communicating with the front desk staff.
  • Reviewing/revising scheduling on a daily basis according to business demands.
  • Assisting with billing for all Spa services and retail sales including preparing receipts.
  • Being thoroughly familiar with and providing instruction on Spa software.
  • Assisting with inventories and cost controlling.
