About The Position

The Spa Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to guests. The therapist must have thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, a general understanding of body treatments, and willingness to train in the spa’s specific offerings. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to learn product and service knowledge to provide wellness solutions that meet guests’ needs. A current state license must be held and maintained.

Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Be on time for shifts, start appointments promptly, and perform services within the allotted time.
Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns.
Be flexible with scheduling to support the needs of the spa.
Care for equipment properly and use appropriate amounts of product to support cost controls.
Maintain complete knowledge of all services and products offered.
Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as required by law and spa policies and procedures.
Perform preparation work and clean and restock rooms as required.
Communicate to management occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention.
Promote the spa, treatments, services, retail, programs, promotions, and available discounts.
Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
Respond accurately, appropriately, and promptly to guest requests.
Work without direct supervision.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
Attend, participate in, and support spa training and staff meetings.
Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
