About The Position

The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to guests. The role requires thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, a general understanding of body treatments, and willingness to train in the spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. The therapist must have excellent communication skills and learn the product and service knowledge needed to provide wellness solutions that meet guest needs. A current state license must be held and maintained. The position pays $15 per hour plus tips and gratuity. The company conducts post-offer employment verifications, motor vehicle checks, and criminal background checks. Requirements

Hold and maintain a current state license.

Responsibilities

Be on time for shifts and appointments, and perform services within the time allotted.
Provide professional massage and body treatments consistently, following spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns.
Be flexible with scheduling to support the needs of the spa.
Care for equipment properly and use appropriate product amounts to assist with cost controls.
Maintain complete knowledge of all services and products offered.
Follow sanitation and sterilization standards required by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
Perform prep work and clean and restock treatment rooms as required.
Communicate to management occurrences involving spa staff or guests that require attention.
Promote the spa, treatments, services, retail products, programs, promotions, and available discounts.
Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
Respond accurately, appropriately, and promptly to guest requests.
Work without direct supervision.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
Attend, participate in, and support spa training and staff meetings.
Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
