About The Position

The Spa Concierge will be responsible for the day-to-day spa & salon operations while ensuring all services are being delivered consistently to community standards. Supports implementation of marketing strategies, training, scheduling of spa services & providers, unique events, monitoring facility maintenance, monitoring inventory, suggests monthly operational supply & retail orders, and facilitates resident payment processing. This position is part-time; weekend & holiday required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use or learn a variety of tech-based services and platforms, i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, resident facing portals, and spa specific appointment/ booking software.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or prior spa or salon experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively completes opening and closing checklists and reports any operational needs to management.
  • Actively promotes and sells spa, salon, and wellness services; maximizes all revenue opportunities.
  • Optimally makes spa and salon reservations to maximize revenues.
  • Assists spa management in the training and supervision of all spa staff.
  • Assists spa management in scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Submits daily revenue details and commission reports in accordance with community policies and procedures to spa management.
  • Provides excellent customer service and helps monitor resident & guest feedback. Follows-up on requests and comments.
  • In the absence of the Spa and Fitness Manager assists in conducting new resident orientations and prospective resident tours including an introduction to the spa & salon, facilities, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors inventory of operational supplies. Assists in stocking operational supplies and amenities.
  • Restocks and merchandises spa retail.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy; reports any unusual resident interactions to management.
  • Assists in preparing newsletters and flyers for display on community boards, door/ mail drops, intranet, community TV channel, and monthly contribution to communities programming calendar.
  • Promotes wellness retail programs, maintain annual average retail goal developed in annual goal setting process with manager.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensures resident and guests’ satisfaction and engagement by answering questions and concerns.
  • Regularly attends and participates in spa staff training and department meetings.
  • Assist in other areas and duties as requested by spa management.
  • Supports elements of employee wellness opportunities as requested.
  • Complies with Mather Code of Conduct, Policies, Compliance Program, and all applicable laws and regulations in performance of one’s job duties; reports all known and suspected violations to his/her supervisor or manager, Mather Compliance officer, a Human Resources representative, or the confidential employee helpline.
  • Demonstrates understanding and commitment to the company Mission, Core Values, and EMI philosophy.
  • Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements. Ensures Mather consent protocols are followed across continuum for resident content.
