About The Position

Based in Montréal, this role covers immigration, HR compliance, and workplace health & safety, while also contributing to a variety of broader HR projects and initiatives. You will own key processes that enable employees to work smoothly while ensuring the organization remains compliant and audit ready. You will evaluate risks, interpret requirements, and make practical decisions that balance compliance, efficiency, and employee experience without adding unnecessary complexity. This role mainly centers on immigration and mobility, HR compliance and health & safety, while also supporting wider HR initiatives and ongoing improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in HR operations, immigration, and/or compliance
  • Knowledge of immigration processes, HR compliance and the CNESST regulations.
  • This role requires a minimum in-office presence of three days per week, with very occasional additional days as needed based on operational needs.
  • Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end immigration processes (Canada, U.S. and other countries when needed) and support employees throughout.
  • Manage work authorizations and documentation.
  • Proactively monitor work permit expirations and manage renewals in collaboration with employees and legal counsel when required.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, data governance, and regulations.
  • Contribute to HR audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support compliance with OQLF requirements and actively contribute to the internal French committee.
  • Coordinate CNESST-related processes (prevention and incident management), and health & safety committee activities.
  • Support Health and Safety programs, training, and awareness.
  • Act as the main contact with external safety partners (including the prevention mutual).
