About The Position

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to develop our team. The AR Specialist will be primarily responsible for managing collections, invoicing, reports, and credit limits insurance. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Dorval, QC, Canada.

Requirements

  • Min 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or similar certifications
  • Thorough knowledge of the AR function and department processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (ERP systemsmana and Microsoft Office).
  • Detail oriented with an ability to work autonomously.
  • Charismatic and results driven.
  • Ability to speak French with our team in Quebec
  • In a multicultural and international environment, a good command of English is necessary to interact with part of our clientele and international team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end AR activities including invoicing, payment application, collections, and reconciliations
  • Manage invoicing and collection from customers.
  • Maintaining customer accounts current and following up past-due invoices.
  • Opening and maintaining customer accounts to ensure that these include all necessary information and documentation.
  • Liaison with Smardt’s Product Support group to resolve customer site installation issues affecting collections.
  • Liaison with Smardt’s Manufacturing and Sales Departments to ensure timely and appropriate invoicing. Establish and maintain appropriate credit limits through Insurance Company for new and existing customers.
  • Identifying problem accounts and situations and advising CFO of corporate risk and proposing solutions.
  • Analysis using spreadsheets as required.
  • Prepare monthly commission report and follow up with their payments
  • And any other related task, as discussed with your supervisor
