About the Position We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to take charge of and evolve our accounts payable operations as the company grows. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire payment cycle, ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and actively contributing to the improvement of the systems and processes that support our financial operations. Requirements

2 to 4 years of experience in accounts payable, financial operations, or a similar role
College diploma (DEC) in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work in a high-volume environment
Ability to analyze problems independently and resolve discrepancies
Good understanding of accounts payable principles, invoice processing, and payment procedures
Continuous improvement mindset and ability to optimize processes rather than just follow them
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, particularly in interactions with suppliers

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
Experience in improving or redesigning financial or accounts payable processes
Experience with ERP systems, accounts payable platforms, or automation tools
Excellent proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Experience in a high-growth company or startup environment
Bilingualism (French and English)

Responsibilities

Manage the entire accounts payable process
Take charge of the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice validation to payment execution, ensuring accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and proper accounting of all transactions.
Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues
Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers for billing discrepancies, missing information, and invoice corrections. Follow up as necessary to resolve issues quickly, obtain credits when required, and maintain strong professional relationships with our partners.
Oversee invoice validation and collaborate with internal teams
Ensure validation of supplier invoices and work closely with operations teams to analyze and resolve discrepancies. See files through to completion with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
Optimize accounts payable processes
Continuously identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes. Design and implement solutions that make the accounts payable function more reliable, efficient, and scalable.
Foster automation and efficiency
Identify opportunities to reduce manual tasks through automation, system improvements, or the implementation of new tools. Contribute to evolving the function so it can support significant volume growth with minimal friction.
