About The Position
The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia is seeking a Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This role supports the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in leading the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation across all outlets. The Sous Chef plays a key role in driving culinary excellence by developing recipes, maintaining cost controls, and upholding Four Seasons standards for food safety, sanitation, and service. The Sous Chef will lead, coach, and motivate a team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring operational efficiency and an elevated guest experience.
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience in a professional kitchen (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Ability to manage costs, inventory, and kitchen performance
Responsibilities
- Support kitchen operations, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items
- Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members to uphold Four Seasons standards
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and production execution
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and purchasing specifications
- Manage labor and food costs through scheduling, inventory, and efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support overall hotel operations
