About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Sous Chef for The Starling Atlanta Midtown. The role supports the kitchen’s operations and guest experience by overseeing food preparation, menu planning, food and supply ordering, quality, sanitation, costs, and staff management. The Sous Chef may also serve as Manager on Duty as required and perform other duties assigned to meet business objectives. Requirements

At least two years of experience in a culinary leadership role.
Ability to multitask.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and adjacent areas.
Plan creative menus that respond to guest needs.
Oversee food preparation.
Check the quality of food deliveries.
Order food and cleaning supplies and maintain appropriate supply levels.
Maintain costs within budget levels.
Manage labor costs, schedules, and productivity.
Hire, coach, and discipline direct reports.
Interact positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues.
Act as Manager on Duty as required.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
