About The Position

Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort is seeking an experienced and driven Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations. This leadership role oversees kitchen staff, food quality, menu execution, and operational excellence across restaurants, events, and banquets, while modeling VIVÂMEE’s Virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in high‑volume hotel, resort, or restaurant kitchens
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage food/labor costs, inventory, and menu development
  • Creative, hands‑on culinary leader who performs well under pressure
  • Experience with banquets, catering, and event execution

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Executive Chef with day‑to‑day kitchen management, production, and service
  • Lead, train, hire, and develop back‑of‑house culinary staff
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation standards
  • Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, labor cost, and menu costing
  • Execute menus for restaurants, banquets, catering, and special events
  • Collaborate with F&B leadership on menus, pricing strategies, and programming
  • Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards across all BOH areas
  • Communicate effectively with front‑of‑house and event teams
