About The Position

Broadridge is hiring a Sorting Machine Operator at its South Windsor, Connecticut location. The role sets up and operates high-speed presort equipment to prepare mail for USPS acceptance while meeting customer requirements. The operator follows detailed work instructions, maintains equipment performance and quality, completes job documentation, and follows departmental and safety procedures. The position reports to a supervisor. The schedule is listed as LWD, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; schedule flexibility may be needed based on volume. The hourly rate is $18.75, and the role is bonus eligible.

Requirements

Ability to follow detailed work instructions and prioritize tasks amid changing demands.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and take direction.
Attention to detail, sound judgment, and prioritizing skills.
Ability to adhere to quality standards.
Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and pull, push, and lift up to 70 pounds.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or overtime based on volume needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a production environment.
Knowledge of postage rates and material confirmation.
Experience operating material insert machines.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate high-speed presort and other automated, computer-controlled equipment.
Follow detailed work instructions and keep machines running at the optimal pace for each job.
Perform preventive maintenance and authorized repairs.
Monitor quality throughout each job and ensure customer requirements are met.
Complete required documentation for every job.
Follow departmental and safety procedures and Broadridge policies.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
