About The Position

Broadridge is hiring a Sorting Machine Operator at its South Windsor, Connecticut location. The role sets up and operates high-speed presort equipment to prepare mail for USPS acceptance while ensuring customer requirements are met. The position reports to a supervisor. The shift is LWN, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The hourly rate is $18.75 and the role is bonus eligible.

Requirements

Demonstrate the ability to work with urgency while prioritizing tasks to meet or adjust to changing demands.
Stand for 12-hour shifts.
Pull, push, and lift up to 70 pounds.
Maintain flexibility in work schedule based on volume needs, including possible weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Adhere to all quality standards.
Take direction and work with a sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

Production environment experience, with knowledge of postage rates and material confirmation.
Experience operating material insert machines.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed work instructions and keep the machine running at the optimal pace for each job.
Set up and operate high-speed, automated, computer-controlled equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and authorized repairs.
Monitor and ensure quality throughout each job.
Complete all required job documentation.
Follow departmental and safety procedures.
