About The Position

SWD Inc. is seeking a full-time, entry-level Sorting Machine Operator for the 2nd shift at its Addison, Illinois facility. Training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with weekend overtime as business needs demand; weekend availability is required. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour. New employees receive performance evaluations with potential raises at 60 days, 6 months, and 12 months, and annually thereafter. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical. SWD is a drug-free workplace. AI-assisted tools are used in parts of the hiring process, as required to be disclosed under Illinois law.

Requirements

• Available to work weekends.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend shop order instructions.
• Perform sample testing as required.
• Use a digital caliper.
• Determine whether machine output is correct.
• Keep assigned machines and work area clean.
• Use a recess penetration gauge.
• Recognize under- and over-feeding of parts.
• Understand basic machine functions.
• Drive a lift truck.
