Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar role in cybersecurity, MSSP or a related technology environment.
  • Experience with complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and longer deal timelines.
  • Strong technical acumen to assess feasibility, engage technical stakeholders, and understand customer requirements.
  • Fluent in English and German and can communicate confidently with both technical audiences and C-level executives.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, business-focused messaging.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills and adapt quickly in customer discussions.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AEs to understand customer needs, shape deal strategy, and share responsibility for outcomes.
  • Lead discovery, presentations, and demos, tailoring messaging while positioning a standardized offering.
  • Assess technical fit early, identifying risks and challenging weak opportunities.
  • Provide an independent view on deal health and closing probability during forecasts.
  • Advise customers on their security landscape with clear, practical recommendations.
  • Handle RFP/RFI responses aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.
  • Act as the main technical contact, resolving most queries and involving SOC or engineering when needed.
