About The Position

The Solutions Engineer serves as a critical technical resource to Sales, acting as a trusted advisor to prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. This role is responsible for understanding customer business challenges, mapping technical requirements, and demonstrating how Microsoft 365–based solutions—particularly Power Platform automation—can deliver meaningful outcomes. Through live demos, solution walkthroughs, and technical discovery sessions, the Solutions Engineer helps customers envision practical, scalable solutions aligned to their goals. In addition to customer‑facing activities, this role collaborates closely with Sales, Technical Success, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure solutions presented during pre‑sales can be successfully implemented post‑sale. The Solutions Engineer contributes to proposal development, proof‑of‑concepts, architecture validation, and feedback loops that influence product improvements. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as this role frequently presents to technical and non‑technical audiences across various industries.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Pre-sales engineer, or similar technical customer‑facing role.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Practical experience building or designing solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sales motions, including discovery, demos, and technical presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to map business needs to technical solutions.
  • Comfort working in fast‑paced, collaborative environments alongside Sales and technical teams.
  • Experience explaining integration concepts, workflows, or automation logic in a clear and structured way.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Power BI or basic data visualization concepts.
  • Exposure to CRM systems (Dynamics, Salesforce) or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Prior experience in B2B software, SaaS, or consulting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers during the pre‑sales cycle.
  • Partner closely with Sales to support discovery calls, solution positioning, and deal strategy.
  • Design and demonstrate solutions leveraging Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related Power Platform services.
  • Create and deliver live product demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts, and technical walkthroughs tailored to customer use cases.
  • Gather and translate customer requirements into solution architectures and automation workflows.
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation required for sales opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback from pre‑sales engagements to Product and Customer Success teams to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of Microsoft ecosystem updates and evolving automation best practices.
