About The Position

Under general supervision, determines, assesses, and details the business functions and operating characteristics of the departments/divisions that utilize the medical center’s automated data facilities, databases and data network or that support and enhance health system practice, administrative and management needs and patient outcomes. Plans, develops, and prepares detailed specifications of applications systems to meet the requirements, missions, and goals of the medical center. Performs system implementation, testing, evaluation, and follow-through. Determines, diagnoses, isolates, and resolves applications resource and utilization problems and errors; develops fault diagnosis, isolation, and resolution techniques that ensure optimal performance is constantly maintained. Trains technical, support, and customer personnel in the use and development of applications programs; develops training programs and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of basic server administration
  • 2 years of Windows Desktop (OSS) experience
  • 2 years of technical documentation experience
  • 2 years of enterprise networking experience
  • 2 years of firewalls experience
  • 2 years of HL7 experience
  • Experience preferably in a healthcare setting
