About The Position

The Solutions Architect reports to the Director of File Based Solutions and works between Evertz clients, account managers, R&D engineers, project managers, and executive management. The role is responsible for architecting, designing, and documenting requirements and implementation approaches for end-to-end enterprise solutions for broadcast and media facilities. The successful candidate captures clients’ vision and business and technical requirements, then maps them to Evertz hardware, software, and professional services. The position involves both client-facing work and collaboration with R&D and delivery teams.

The role spans the full solution lifecycle, from initial scoping and design through proposal development, risk management, commissioning, training, and sustaining engineering. Travel to client sites is required as needed.

Requirements

• Experience designing, documenting, and sustaining full-lifecycle, end-to-end, enterprise-wide client-facing projects.
• At least 3 years of experience deploying file-based workflow solutions.
• Experience with file-based broadcast, production, post-production, non-linear distribution, automated transcoding and quality control, business/traffic systems, and related workflows.
• Electronics engineering or similar education.
• Problem-solving skills and strong communication skills.
• Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work as a team player.
• Familiarity with BXF and industry-standard traffic solutions.
• Experience with Broadcast IT and network infrastructure.
• Understanding of application integration with business systems using XML as the interchange format.
• Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the account manager to define and document project scope.
• Provide initial client solutions, select Evertz equipment, and design systems; refine these into final quotations and supporting documentation.
• Work with internal resources and clients to provide demonstrations or proof-of-concept system documentation as required.
• Collaborate with internal, client, and third-party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements.
• Lead proposal creation and refinement, and own the accurate documentation of bid sets.
• Identify and manage project risks, clearly state assumptions, and work with clients and internal resources to mitigate risks before deployment.
• Create design packages, gap analyses, functional specifications, and budgets.
• Identify new customers and build relationships while maintaining the existing customer base.
• Act as the technical authority throughout design, pre-commissioning, onsite commissioning, training, and sustaining engineering.
• Travel to client sites as required.
