About The Position

Reporting to the Director of File Based Solutions, the Solutions Architect works across Evertz clients, account managers, R&D engineers, project managers, and executive management to architect, design, and document end-to-end enterprise solutions for broadcast and media facilities. The role captures client vision and business and technical requirements and maps them to Evertz hardware, software, and professional services. It requires comfort in both client-facing and internal work with R&D and delivery service groups.

The Solutions Architect collaborates on solution scoping and design, develops proposals and accurate bid documentation, supports demonstrations and proof-of-concept work, and creates design packages, gap analyses, functional specifications, and budgets. The role also identifies and manages project risks, builds and maintains customer relationships, and acts as the technical authority from design through commissioning, training, and sustaining engineering. Travel to client sites is required as needed.

Requirements

• Experience designing, documenting, and sustaining full life-cycle, end-to-end, enterprise-wide client-facing projects.
• Experience with file-based broadcast, production, post-production, non-linear distribution, automated transcoding and quality control, and business/traffic system deployments and workflows.
• Education in electronics engineering or a similar field.
• Problem-solving and strong communication skills.
• Results-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Familiarity with BXF and industry-standard traffic solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience deploying file-based workflow solutions.
• Experience with Broadcast IT and network infrastructure.
• Understanding of application integration with business systems using XML as the interchange format.
• Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the account manager to define and document project scope.
• Provide initial solutions, select Evertz equipment, and design systems; refine the design into a final quotation and supporting documentation.
• Work with internal resources and clients to provide demonstrations and/or proof-of-concept system documentation as required.
• Collaborate with internal, client, and third-party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements.
• Lead proposal creation and refinement, and produce accurate bid-set documentation.
• Identify and manage project risks, state assumptions clearly, and work with clients and internal resources to mitigate risks before deployment.
• Create clear design packages, gap analyses, functional specifications, and budgets.
• Identify new customers and build relationships while maintaining the existing customer base.
• Act as the technical authority during design, pre-commissioning, onsite commissioning, training, and sustaining engineering.
• Travel to client sites as required.
