About The Position

QAD is seeking a high-energy, charismatic tech and manufacturing evangelist for its New Business Sales team. The Solution Consultant will act as the primary product and industry expert, bridging complex business challenges with QAD's high-performance Adaptive ERP solutions. This role involves partnering closely with Account Executives to win new clients, leading discovery sessions, qualifying functional fit, delivering outcome-driven presentations, and collaborating on sales strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible business value and ROI.

Requirements

  • Five+ years within a sales environment selling ERP.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high morale and activity levels during long-tail deals.
  • Proven track record in a customer-facing Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role within the enterprise software (SaaS) space.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and quality management principles.
  • Ability to think on your feet, translate technical jargon into business value, and adapt quickly during live, outcome-focused demonstrations.
  • Experience with Generative AI in the workplace to make tasks efficient.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS Certifications: CPIM/CSCP
  • Hands-on experience or deep competitive knowledge of alternative ERP products (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with Generative AI applications and how they are transforming enterprise software and supply chain analytics.
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure and modern cloud deployment methodologies.
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Discovery: Conduct high-impact, interactive client discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic goals, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Functional Fit Qualification: Analyze prospect requirements to ensure QAD's Adaptive ERP and complementary solutions meet their needs.
  • Deliver Outcome-Driven Presentations: Design, build, and deliver compelling software demonstrations and executive presentations focused on tangible business outcomes, ROI, and operational transformation.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to build customized win strategies, craft RFP/RFI responses, and navigate complex technical evaluations.
  • Be the Expert: Maintain a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD’s suite of solutions, manufacturing industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
